University of Economics in Katowice was founded in 1937 and is the biggest and oldest business school in the region, and one of the top economic universities in Poland. Each year, over 17,000 Polish and international students follow degree programmes at Bachelor, Master, Doctoral and Post-graduate levels.

At the crossroads of major European transport routes, in the heartland of Central and Eastern Europe, the University teaches contemporary economics, finance, ICT, management, business and public administration.

The strategy implements also internationalization as one of the most prioritized and dynamic activities of the University. Whether it is participating in international research and educational programmes, being involved in international student and academic staff exchange programmes like ERASMUS+ or CEEPUS, entering into alliances with leading universities and major companies in the EU and beyond, or being members of international networks, the University of Economics in Katowice is becoming an internationally oriented centre of academic excellence.
